The Elements of a Brilliant Business Brochure
Do you want to make a brochure for your business but need to know what to include? We can help you create a B2B-friendly brochure. We’ve helped companies with these kinds of things for more than 120 years.
What should be in a brochure for business
Your brochure’s content will be determined by its purpose and the type of business you run. We recommend that ALL brochures include certain elements, including:
Headlines that inform
Subheadings that can be scanned
To-the-point brochure text
Call for action
Business contact details
Keep the brochure
Don’t worry if you must learn to incorporate these elements into your brochure. In the next section, we’ll go over these elements in more detail.
Headlines that inform
It’s easy to write headlines from the point of view of what you wish to say. “New Product Announcement!”
Your reader will not be as interested as you in developing your business. Think about the questions or problems that your reader may have and how your brochure can answer or solve them. “Get Results Faster with XYZ!”
Subheadings that can be scanned
When picking up a booklet, the first thing people do is scan through the text. It is a good idea to plan your copy first by creating subheadings. Ensure that each subheading contains clever and relevant information to your brand.
To-the-point brochure text
Simplifying your text (copy) when writing a B2B booklet is easy. Use industry jargon but communicate your message as effectively as possible. Your brochure text should convey your message to potential customers and not confuse them.
Call for action
All the best brochures include a clear “call to action” (CTA), which tells readers exactly what to do once they have read the leaflet. A flyer will only be effective with a CTA.
Tell them what to do and how.
You want them to schedule an appointment. When and how should they make an appointment?
Do you want your customers to order something? Please give them clear instructions on how to place an order.
A QR code is a great tool to make the process as simple as possible for customers.
Business contact details
You might be surprised that many brochures only include limited or no contact information.
Include your website and phone number. For many businesses, street addresses and social media handles are equally important. If you have a valid reason for leaving them out, include those details in a place that is easily accessible.
Keep the brochure
If you have the space, give your customers an incentive to keep their brochures. It was common to include a small calendar, but you could use anything. Consider:
List of online resources that you may find useful
A lunar calendar
Maps of all kinds
Keep your creativity in line with the identity of your business.
